Omos is proud to have provided the bespoke street furniture for the Tallaght Public Realm project, at South Dublin County Council Offices. The award winning scheme has redefined the civic heart of Tallaght, with it’s nearby Library, Art Gallery and Civic Theatre. Led by Dermot Foley Landscape Architects, with elements designed by Sean Harrington Architects, the project has humanized a once car-dominated landscape, turning it into a series of vibrant ‘outdoor living rooms.’

Omos engineered and produced the sculptural seating, decorative railings and high-capacity bicycle racks. The bespoke seating, in particular, was designed to encourage ‘active lingering’, providing residents with high-quality spaces to gather, rest, and socialise.
The result is a seamless, accessible and resilient urban environment that prioritizes pedestrian movement and sustainable transport. We are thrilled that the project’s success was recognized at the 2024 Irish Landscape Institute (ILI) Awards, where it won the Public Realm/Civic Space category.
