For the development of the Staycity Aparthotel on Francis Street, Áit Urbanism Architects envisioned an ‘urban room’ that bridged the gap between the Liberties’ industrial grit and modern hospitality. Omos were selected for our reputation in high-end manufacturing and ability to execute complex, bespoke designs. Omos provided custom-fabricated Corten steel planters, seamlessly integrated with FSC-certified iroko hardwood and steel seating.

The Corten steel develops a self-protecting rust patina over time, echoing the weathered textures of old Dublin while requiring virtually zero maintenance. The iroko hardwood slats provide a soft, warm touchpoint for guests, balancing the raw, industrial aesthetic of the metalwork. Microporous stain is applied to the wood, which enhances the natural colour and improves UV resistance.
